Paintballs cause nearly $10K in damage

There was an expensive crime in Missouri City. We mean expensive, as in the cleanup bill. Police say two teens shot red paintballs all over the inside of a vacant home in the 4000 block of Brandisi Court in Missouri City. According to published reports, there's about $10,000 worth of damage inside the home and now, crews are trying to clean up what was left behind.

The home was brand new and has never been lived in. The builder says two young men broke in and either intentionally shot paint all over the walls, windows and carpet or they were shooting at each other and the paint splattered all over the home.

Someone saw what happening and called 911. One neighbor with whom we spoke saw police arrive while the suspects were apparently still inside.

"After a while, two guys ran to the other end of the lake and in not less than five minutes, the policeman was able to catch the two guys," said neighbor Hiram Tiburcio.

The two young men, ages 16 and 18, were both arrested and reportedly charged with burglary.
