Galveston's seawall nearly good as new

GALVESTON, TX The Army Corps of Engineers says it has completed major repair work on the west end of the Galveston Seawall from damage caused by Hurricane Ike more than a year ago. Galveston officials held a re-dedication ceremony on the west end this afternoon.

They say crews have finished repairs to damaged pavement, damaged access ramps and major cracks along the seawall.
