Man accused of keeping insurance money surrenders

HOUSTON Darryl Golter was indicted last week over allegations that he took money from about 75 people for windstorm insurance policies, but never forwarded the premiums to the insurance agency. Golter lost his license to work in Texas as a result of the allegations.

If convicted, he faces anywhere from probation to 20 years in prison.
