Eight-year-old works to honor veterans

HOUSTON Alex DeMasi wants to place a wreath on every gravesite at the Houston National Cemetery. Alex is only eight years old, but for the past two years he's helped raise money and volunteers. Last year he was able to get more than 14,000 wreaths. This year he wants to get enough wreaths to place on all 53,000 gravesites.

"Not just one person served our freedom, they all did," Alex said. "So it's fair if they all get a wreath."

Wreaths Across America has been in existence for years, and has a local chapter. Alex has re-energized the group. The wreaths will be placed on December 12th.
