City pound temp leader to get paid

The Houston city council finally approved a contract for the new temporary head of the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care (BARC).Consultant Gerry Fusco worked for two weeks without pay, because some council members delayed a vote on the remaining $135,000 of his contract. The city chose Fusco to head up BARC to try to fix problems at its troubled animal pound.
