Three women suffered minor injuries after their vehicle flipped over on the Katy Freeway overnight. Around 2am Monday, a Dodge Stratus lost control and hit a wall, stopping in the middle of the freeway near Blalock. The SUV slowed down to avoid the car, but a black Mazda slammed into the back of the vehicle and it rolled over. Other drivers helped the trapped women.

"The woman who was in the back seat, we helped her out first, then the woman who was in the passenger seat, you know, we laid the seat down and pulled the seat back down on her and pulled her out," said witness Adam Ortega.

A wrecker driver who was directing traffic at the scene was hit by a car, but is listed as stable. There were three wrecks total in that same spot overnight.
