Two men threaten to jump from roads

ARLINGTON, TX A man threatening to jump from the Texas 360 bridge above Interstate-30 was taken into custody after police in Arlington shut down traffic several hours on Saturday.

Authorities reopened the interstate at around 1:30 p.m. after having to close several lanes of traffic there. The man began threatening to jump from the bridge around 6:30 a.m.

Later, a second man threatened to jump from a section of Texas 183 near the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Police from Fort Worth and the airport were negotiating with the man Saturday evening.

Arlington police Sgt. Os Flores said in a statement that the first incident stemmed from a domestic disturbance at an Arlington residence in which the 29-year-old suspect allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.

Flores said the man complied with officers' requests and was arrested.
