June 27, 2009 5:57:05 AM PDT
Firefighters had to battle huge flames in west Houston early Saturday morning. This fire started just before 4:30am at a home on Mountain Rose near S. Wood Hollow. Firefighters arrived to find the one story home engulfed in flames and the roof already caving in. A neighbor says he was asleep but the smoke and flames woke him up.

"I thought I was dreaming the house was on fire," said neighbor Eric Alvarez.

The neighbor alerted his parents and he called 911. The homeowner was not home at the time. He said he had just left with his wife and three daughters to prepare things for a church event.

The house was destroyed but no one was hurt. There's no word yet on a cause.
