This morning, the water main break along Westgreen Road cause water pressure to drop below 20 PSI. The break was a result of the extremely dry ground that separated or shifted and put enough pressure on the mainline to cause it to crack.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes that might be present, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
