Travis Clemons, chief investigator for the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, told the TimesDaily, a Florence newspaper, that the four bodies were found Tuesday morning in a the small, wood-frame home. He said authorities were seeking a man named Kevin Garner as a person of interest after the discovery in the small community of Green Hill, near the Tennessee line.

Court records show Garner and his wife Tammy were in divorce proceedings and scheduled for a hearing in neighboring Morgan County on Wednesday morning, the newspaper reported.

The identities of those killed weren't immediately released, and it wasn't immediately clear why Garner was identified as a person of interest.

Sheriff's officials did not immediately return calls from The Associated Press seeking comment.
