State troopers tell us the small homemade aircraft fell out of the sky and caught fire shortly after takeoff and went down near County roads 48 and 49.
Investigators say the pilot, 62-year-old Robert Milne from kingwood was burned badly. He was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
