Hundreds of workers rehired at UTMB

UTMB is rehiring some of its laid off employees and the hospital is also trying to fill more than 200 positions. The facility was seriously damaged when Ike hit the coast six months ago. And despite the massive layoff that followed, about 400 workers have been rehired.

The hospital says there are available positions for nursing and clinical research, with priority going to the more 2,400 employees initially let go.
