Audio released from Continental crash

The flight, which was on its way to Houston, veered off the runway and caught fire just moments before takeoff. The audio starts six seconds after the pilot confirmed they were ready..

Everyone on board was able to escape the plane. Thirty-eight people were hurt. It's believed strong crosswinds may have played a factor in the crash.

At least eight passengers are suing the airline, and another four passengers are suing Boeing, claiming the plane's design made it difficult to maintain control while taking off in high crosswinds.
