A viewing for the late former city councilwoman was held Thursday in the park named in her honor. /*Tinsley*/ died earlier this week at the age of 82.
She spent 16 years on the council, championing the preservation of historic districts and creating children's parks around town.
A memorial service is being held Saturday at Houston's South Main Baptist Church. It starts at 11am.
