At about 7:45am, Richmond Police officers were called to 809 Morton for an automobile accident. When officers arrived at the Oak Lane Apartments, they discovered that a vehicle had driven into one of the apartments which happened to double as the leasing office.
The driver of the vehicle was returning home after taking her child to school when she accidently stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to go through the living room of the apartment.
The driver of the vehicle lives in the apartment that was struck. There were people inside the apartment at the time of the accident, but no one was injured. No charges will be filed.
