The task force thinks the bandit pulled off 11 robberies at banks in Kroger stores in Harris and Montgomery Counties last year.

Surveillance video shows the robber hitting some of the banks. Investigators say the robber approaches bank employees, then demands money. During all the robberies, he appeared to talk on a cell phone. Several times, the bandit forced employees into the back of the bank to get additional money.

"Later, the suspect began to usher the bank employees back into the vault room and act as if he would have weapon though no weapon had been displayed," said Sgt. Robert Schobey with the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force.

Anyone who recognizes the cell phone bandit is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
