Investigators say Robert Wayne Fort, also known as Robin, sexually assaulted several children under the age of eight years old.

Fort, along with his wife, ran an after-school babysitting service out of their home in the Townwest subdivision. Investigators started looking more closely at him after two children in his care reportedly accused him of molesting them.

Last month, a warrant was issued for Fort's arrest. He was taken into custody at his place of work and is currently in the Fort Bend County Jail with a $300,000 bond. He's facing two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and four counts of indecency with a child for allegedly exposing himself.

"These characters don't start this at age 50," said Ft. Bend County Sheriff Milton Wright. "They've been doing it a while and just got caught."

During the course of the sheriff's office investigation, detectives say they obtained a confession from Fort, admitting to the sexual assault of several children in addition to exposing himself.

Fort is a former teacher in Alief ISD. He's also been involved in Boy Scouts, Youth Ministry, and more recently a floor manager for a major department store in the First Colony Mall.

Fort Bend detectives believe there may be other child victims and are encouraging anyone who may have been in contact or assaulted by Fort to contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office criminal investigation division's main number at 281- 341-4685 or Ft. Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
