Funny money passed in Katy schools

Someone passed counterfeit $20 and $50 bills at Hutsell Elementary and Cinco Ranch, Seven Lakes, Morton Ranch and Maid Creek high schools.

A bank used by Katy ISD discovered the counterfeit money and contacted the U.S. secret service.

District cafeterias will not accept any bills over $10 for the remainder of the school year.
