Barbara Scott

HOUSTON Barbara is a champion of causes ranging from children, to the arts to education. She is currently the chairman of the Child Advocates Board of Directors and also serves on the Tanglewood Garden Club. She has been an active parishioner of St. Michael's Church for many years and is currently a Eucharistic minister and a youth ministry coordinator.

Several organizations have recognized Barbara for her contributions to their work. In 2008, the Houston Ballet awarded her the Joanne Isaacman Award of excellence. She was also the honoree for the 2002 Angels of Hope luncheon benefiting child advocates.

Barbara is a volunteer who is not afraid of rolling up her sleeves and jumping into the trenches. A director at one of the organizations she has long supported says it like this: "Barbara is a beautiful and powerful reminder that the spirit of volunteerism is alive and well."
