Gracie Cavnar

HOUSTON Gracie has found success in many careers including architecture, modeling, marketing and public relations. Most recently, she has been putting the finishing touches on a children's cookbook due for release in March.

A native Texan, she is passionately engaged in philanthropy throughout the state. In 2005, after years of researching the problem, she created the Recipe for Success Foundation to combat childhood obesity. To date, it has impacted over 10,000 students and growing.

Gracie has been honored for her volunteerism and public service including recognition by Dr. Mehmet Oz and his Healthcorps Foundation and receipt of the president's Volunteer Service Gold Award. She is currently a finalist for the L'Oreal Women of Worth Award, a national grassroots program that honors women serving others in their communities.

Gracie's community involvement also includes work with the Houston Grand Opera, Inprint, and Kipp Academy to name a few. Through the Cavnar Foundation, Gracie, her husband, Bob, and their three grown children, support nearly 100 charities.
