Around 11pm Tuesday, the armed men walked into the Philips 66 station on East Crosstimbers and Hirsch and shot that clerk to death after robbing the place. A second clerk watched it all happen.

"Patrol officers arrived at the scene and found one deceased store clerk. We do have a surviving witness who witnessed the whole thing and we also have surveillance," said Sgt. Myron Dillingham with the Houston Police Department.

Police hope that witness -- another clerk -- along with the surveillance video will help them find the people responsible for the crime. Investigators tell us the killers may be responsible for several other robberies in the area in recent days. The criminals got away with a small amount of money.

The store is closed, with no sign of when it might reopen. Customers have been coming by to offer their condolences. The victim's identity has not been released.
