Civil War re-enactor shot during skirmish

ISLE OF WIGHT, VA Isle of Wight County spokesman Don Robertson says Thomas Lord of Suffolk was shot Saturday in the back of the shoulder while portraying a Union soldier during a re-enactment. Lord was hospitalized and later released.

Sheriff Charlie Phelps says Lord was shot with a .45-caliber musket bullet that may have been fired from a pistol.

Phelps says re-enactors aren't supposed to use live ammunition and normally don't.
