Taco stand worker shot during robbery

HOUSTON It started around 9pm at Michael's Taqueria stand on the corner of Parkfront at Harwin when the three suspects approached the victim.

Authorities say one of them stood out by the corner to be a lookout. Another person acted like like he was going to order something, which is when the third suspect went into the taco stand with a gun and started demanding money.

As the third suspect was leaving the stand, police believe the manager started arguing and fighting with the suspect. The manager was shot in the parking lot.

"I work at the apartments and I come over and get tacos all of the time. He is a really nice person from Guatemala. He spoke English and Spanish," said customer David Haylon. "He was just friendly with everybody."

The three suspects ran from the scene and remain on the loose. The manager was taken by ambulance to the hospital and is in serious condition.
