Student tries to show Tibetan flag at Olympics

HONG KONG Seated in the front row Saturday, Christina Chan displayed a placard bearing the Canadian flag during the equestrian competition in a Hong Kong suburb.

But hidden beneath the Canadian flag was the Tibetan flag, and when she tried to display that banner a few security officers asked her to leave.

When she refused they carried her out but did not arrest her, says event spokesman Mark Pinkstone.
