New Galveston police chief begins job

GALVESTON, TX Former HISD Police Chief Charles Wiley takes over the Galveston Police Department today. Wiley beat out 46 other applicants for the job, left vacant when former Chief Kenneth Mack left in April.

Wiley started his police career almost 40 years ago in Galveston and says coming back to the island is like coming home again.
