Comets point guard Mwadi Mabika underwent arthroscopic surgery Thursday to repair cartilage on her right knee, the team said. She will spend the next four to six weeks rehabilitating the knee. Mabika has started in 10 of the 13 games in which she's played this season, posting averages of 6.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. A Los Angeles Spark for 11 years, Mabika was signed as a free agent by the Comets on Feb. 20.

The Comets play the Sacramento Monarchs on Saturday at 2pm at Reliant Arena. For more information about the Comets, visit www.houstoncomets.com.
