Prime minister visit prompts protests

Vietnamese Americans from across Texas, Louisiana, Arizona and California converged on the Galleria area to protest a visit by the prime minister of Vietnam.The Vietnamese Americans gathered outside the Galleria to demonstrate against Nguyen Tan Dung. Vietnam's leader came to meet with Texas business leaders.

The protesters called for democracy and basic human rights for the people of Vietnam, they also oppose plans to open a Vietnamese consulate office in Houston or anywhere in Texas.
