"We help people fill out the paperwork, get their photos taken," said Green. "We have immigration attorneys who donate their time to make sure those applications are correct."
Three-hundred-and-twenty-five legal residents were processed at Houston Community College's Northline campus. The event has become so popular that some people even camp out overnight to be the first in line. Some of the volunteers were immigrants who benefited from the service years ago and wanted to give back.
