TSU to receive $26 million from state

Texas Southern University is getting a boost from the state to help it rebound. The school's reorganization plan is now approved.The plan calls for $26 million to go to TSU. About $12.5 million will go to the school's academic initiative, and to improving facilities. State and school officials have been working to increase TSU's academic standards. They're also reorganizing things after the fallout involving former school president Priscilla Slade.
