Masked man takes bank teller hostage

MANVEL, TX The masked man acted as a landscaper and worked in the shrubs before entering the First National Bank of Alvin located at 20102 Highway 6 in Manvel, Texas on April 22, 2008. At approximately 9:45am, the masked robber walked inside with his gun drawn and grabbed the right arm of one teller. He forced her at gunpoint to walk with him up to the teller counter where he committed the robbery which was captured on video tape. The FBI and Manvel Police Department are releasing video of the robbery in the hopes that someone will recognize the masked man or his disguise.

The video shows the armed robber dressed in a tan zippered jumpsuit. He wore a dark colored dew rag on his head and a light colored scarf covering the bottom half of his face. He also wore black rimmed glasses and gloves, and carried a black semi-automatic pistol. He is described as a black male, 6' - 6'2", approximately 170-180 pounds with a slender build. Witnesses believe he left the area in a four-door GM pickup, possibly a Colorado or mid-size truck, dark blue in color.
