Store clerk fights against armed robbers

For the second time in two days, a suspected criminal has been shot by their intended victim.This latest case happened around 11pm Thursday at the Colony Express Market on Broadway and Glover overnight.

Police say two men walked in as the store clerk was in the process of closing up. Police say the two men robbed the clerk and they were leaving when a clerk managed to pull out his own weapon.

"And the store clerk discharged a firearm and hit one of the suspects and one suspect fled the scene," said Sgt J. Rubio with the Houston Police Department.

One suspected robber died, the other remains on the loose. The store clerk wasn't injured in the incident.
