Today, the U.S. Flag of Honor will be flown to Houston for a tribute to a local deputy constable. The flag will be flown at half staff at Precinct 7 headquarters in memory of Deputy David Joubert. He was killed last month while on his way to escort a funeral procession.

The U.S. Flag of Honor was originally flown over the Texas state capitol during the 9-11 attacks and later at Ground Zero.

It's a symbol of respect and honor for the men and women of our armed forces, law enforcement and firefighters who serve our country.
