A&M classes cancelled due to threat

COLLEGE STATION, TX (KTRK) University police are investigating a written threat regarding Heldenfels Hall. Campus police and officers with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms inspected the building Tuesday night.

Authorities say they believe the building is safe, but as a precautionary measure, Heldenfels Hall will be closed today and all classes in the building are cancelled.

Classes and normal operations are expected to resume Thursday morning.

Students, faculty, staff and parents are encouraged to go to the Texas A&M University web site at http://www.tamu.edu or call 888-440-7345 for more information. Students having questions regarding class assignments affected by the building closure should contact their professors.
