Feud apparently leads to fatal shooting

HOUSTON (KTRK) Eyewitnesses say they heard three shots in rapid succession. They say a neighbor walked up a driveway and shot a man who was outside a house doing maintenance work.

Investigators say the shooting happened at about 12:30pm. They say the alleged shooter and victim had some kind of on-going, long-standing feud, though investigators couldn't tell us exactly what the source of that argument was.

We talked to one man who lives on the property. He said he heard shots and then ran outside to see what had happened. He says he saw the alleged shooter standing over the victim, calling 911.

"What was so bad that you needed to resort to that? It just didn't make sense," said eyewitness Michael Goodner.

The victim, a man in his 50s, has not been identified. The alleged shooter, also a man in his 50s, has been taken in for questioning by police. His name has not yet been released.
