1. Eat breakfast. It turns out your mother was right. This good nutritional practice reduces hunger later in the day and provides energy that makes performing physical activity easier.
2. Exercise daily. Engaging in moderate intensity physical activity for 60 to 90 minutes a day will help burn enough calories to keep the weight off.
3. Watch your calorie intake, especially from fat. Eat regular meals, count fat grams and calories consumed, and limit the amount of food eaten at each meal and the consumption of high fat foods.
4. Monitor your weight. Weighing yourself at least once a week helps maintain the motivation for losing weight.
