HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A wrongful death lawsuit is now filed over a crash that killed a mother at a checkout lane at southeast Houston H-E-B.
Karla Sanchez died Monday when an SUV slammed into the store on Woodridge and the South Loop. Six others were hurt.
Sanchez's husband filed the suit against H-E-B and the driver, seeking damages of at least $1 million.
The suit claims the driver was negligent and the pillars and/or bollards at the store were deficient and poorly maintained.
H-E-B released the following statement Thursday afternoon.
