Forbes announces 2015 list of world's richest people

Microsoft founder Bill Gates has once again been named the wealthiest person in the world, a title he's held for 16 of the past 21 years.

Forbes says the 500 richest people in the world are worth a combined $4.7 trillion. But if you look at all 1,826 billionaires in the world, they are worth $7.05 trillion.

This was Gates' second year back at the top of the list. Last year he reclaimed the spot from Mexican telcom mogul Carlos Slim Helu, who is No. 2 on this year's list.

The highest ranking woman on the list is Walmart heir Christy Walton, worth $41.7 billion. Liliane Bettencourt, the daughter of L'Oreal founder Eugene Schueller, holds the No. 10 spot with her family's $40.1 billion.
