Woman says man pulled gun on her in I-10 road rage incident
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An east Harris County woman is warning others about a driver she says pulled a gun on her and her three year old daughter in what she calls a dangerous road rage incident.
"Guns are used for protection, not to intimidate people, to scare people," explained Christy Richard. "I had my three-year-old daughter in the car."
Richard was on Interstate 10, driving eastbound near 610 Loop, when she says the driver of a pick-up truck started slamming on his brakes and throwing rocks at her car.
She admits she should have gotten away, but instead, Richard followed the man, called 911, and started recording on her cell phone.
"He proceeds to point the gun at me, making the motion," she explained. "I guess he figured out that I was calling the police. He tried to lose me. He tried to deter me from getting the license plate number."
She took photos of what looks like the man pointing a gun at her.
She has since filed a report with the Harris County Precinct 3 Constable, but we are blurring the man's license plate and face until investigators are able to authenticate the photos.
"You have to be careful, because you never know what next person beside you, what's going on in their mind, if they're going to hurt you," Richard said.
