Whole Foods opening in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX (KTRK) -- A new Whole Foods location is opening The Woodlands on March 18.

The store's grand opening will be held on March 18 at 8am, according to the company's website. The 40,000-square-feet store is located in Hughes Landing on Lake Woodlands.

Construction on the store began last year. A Whole Foods executive, Mark Dixon, said at the time via a statement, "The community has been asking for a store in The Woodlands for some time, and we have been working hard to make that happen."

The Austin-based chain now has 10 stores in the Houston area.
