Travis Herzog makes a splash with Alexander Elementary Stingrays

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- ABC13 meteorologist Travis Herzog made a splash with the Stingrays at Alexander Elementary on Wednesday.

Not only did the students learn a lot about weather safety, they also showed Travis some pretty cool library books about weather.

Travis said one of his favorites from the library was Kathleen V. Kudlinski's "Boy, Were We Wrong About the Weather!"

The Stingrays also sprung another surprise on Travis when he got to rub elbows with Miss Frizzle from "The Magic School Bus."

Travis said he felt like royalty, and thanked Principal Dr. Charmaine Hobin for giving up her parking spot so he could visit.
