University of Houston cougar mascot turns 3 years old

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The University of Houston's live cougar mascot, Shasta VI, turned 3 years old this weekend, and the community came out to the Houston Zoo to celebrate at the animal's enclosure.

Shasta feasted on cake in his streamer-strewn yard and children signed a birthday card and sang "Happy Birthday" to the mascot.
