Lightning blamed for two-alarm apartment fire in Memorial area

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A lightning strike is believed to have caused an apartment fire in Houston's Memorial area during heavy storms Monday night.

The two-alarm fire broke out at the Country Place Apartments at 800 Country Place at about 9:45pm.

According to the Houston Fire Department, the fire caused significant damage, but no injuries have been reported.
