An Emmy-winning TV reporter in California is drawing her own headlines, accused of shoplifting thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

Sabrina Rodriguez, a reporter for Sacramento's Fox40, was part of a handbag stealing tag-team, police said, acting as a lookout as her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Gray, swiped purses last year from a Coach outlet store.

Gray lifted more than $2,500 in wallets, police said.

Rodriguez, charged with grand theft and second-degree burglary, has not entered a plea. Gray -- who had not yet been charged -- is behind bars on unrelated charges, including arson.
