Woman hit by car while crossing street in Midtown

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman suffered minor injuries after she was struck by a car while crossing the street in Midtown.

Police say the woman was crossing Fannin Street at Alabama when the driver of a Mazda Miata hit her. The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

It's unknown at this time if the driver had a green light or not. Witnesses, who were the victim's friends, told police the woman had the right of way.

The accident is still under investigation
