Minor injuries reported in downtown wreck involving HPD cruiser

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Minor injuries were reported in a Friday afternoon car collision involving a Houston Police Department cruiser in downtown Houston.

The wreck happened at the intersection of Dowling and Pierce. Footage from SkyEye HD shows damage to the front end of the police cruiser and side damage on a black SUV.

All lanes of Dowling Street have been shut down as the investigation continues. Only one lane of Pierce is open.
