Freeway sign collapse causes big traffic mess in Dallas

DALLAS, TX (KTRK) -- An accident in Dallas this morning is causing a big traffic tie-up.

According to KTVT, at around 3am, a white pickup truck slammed into the support beam on the northbound lanes of East Loop 820 at Highway 10, causing the overhead traffic sign to collapse.

The sign is blocking all lanes of the freeway. No one was hurt in the crash. The northbound lanes are expected to be closed through most of the morning rush hour.
