Three rescued from vehicle in New Caney crash

NEW CANEY, TX -- Three people trapped inside a vehicle Monday were rescued by firefighters after a two-vehicle crash in New Caney.

A Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling north on Loop 494 near Antique Lane while a Toyota Corolla traveled in the opposite direction when the truck turned left toward a gas station, failing to yield the right of way, according to law enforcement.

The Toyota struck the truck on its right passenger side, causing the truck to rollover onto its left side.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate three people, including a small child, from the truck.
