HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It seems more couples are stepping back into the Middle Ages to tie the knot - specifically at the Texas Renaissance Festival.
The festival has released a report on its 2017 season, and while attendance didn't break any records this year (nearly 645,000 attended - the second highest in its history), the number of people getting married did.
The RenFest hosted a record 63 weddings, along with five marriage proposals. According to the festival's website, the fairgrounds can serve as a full-fledged wedding venue, with different packages to boot.
The festival returns next September.
