Teen found dead in Texas City had multiple stab wounds
TEXAS CITY, TX (KTRK) -- The teenager who was found dead in Texas City yesterday died of multiple stab wounds, ABC13 has learned.
Murder charges sought against teen's boyfriend
Kirsten Fritch died as a result of sharp force trauma, according to the medical examiner.
The medical examiner said there were multiple stab wounds on her body chest torso upper extremities and face. She was not mutilated.
The medical examiner did not know how long she had been dead, but she was last seen alive Tuesday afternoon.
Jesse Dobbs, 21, was found by Texas City police at a bar called Shenanigan's in Texas City. He walked in barefoot, and asked for a glass of water. Police received a tip call that led to his arrest at the bar.
Across the street at an apartment complex, police also found the missing car that belonged to Kirsten's mother, Cynthia Morris.
Morris and her 13-year-old daughter, Breanna, were found shot to death in their Baytown home Tuesday morning. Kirsten was missing.
Dobbs was charged with resisting arrest. He was moved Thursday to the Texas City jail.
Baytown police are still investigating the double murder in their jurisdiction.
"We are going to pursue murder charges on Mr. Dobbs through Galveston county on this Texas City homicide," said Baytown police Lt Steven Dorris.
Her grandmother said earlier she had met Dobbs online a couple of weeks ago.
Dobbs has two children from a previous relationship. He was charged earlier this year with domestic violence against the children's mother, who said he was known to use methamphetamine.
For several days, the family of the murder victims had been holding out hope that Kirsten Fritch was still alive. Now the case has turned into a triple murder.
When asked if he would request capital murder charges, Lt. Dorris said, "I want a charge that can get a conviction. I want to give the other family members justice."
