Jimbo Fisher could buy Houston's 4 most expensive homes with Texas A&M contract
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KTRK) -- Texas A&M introduced its new football coach, much to the delight of students, fans and business owners. Jimbo Fisher is coming from Florida State University.
The school announced he quit last week after eight seasons.
On Monday, a Texas A&M board approved Fisher's 10-year, $75 million contract.
A sum of money that could buy some nice real estate in the Houston area.
According to HAR.com, the most expensive house in the area goes for $19.5 million. The next highest listings are for $19 million, $16.5 million and $14.8 million. Check out those mansions below.

If Fisher bought all four, he'd still have $5 million left over.
"The fact that when they're spending that much on football when there's an educational institution that's a part of it," said Mary Engstron, a Texas A&M student. "Why are you spending that much money on him when you could invest it in your students here?"
"It's a big number, but it's what we had to pay him to get away from Florida State," said Jacob Hicks, another Texas A&M student.
It's not just fans and students excited to see the introduction, nearby businesses are thrilled as well.
With the football team barely having a winning record, Rough Draught Whiskey Bar general manager Kyle Meredith saw a drop in revenue.
"There's a lot of business that's done during those home games, and it wasn't as strong as it's been in the past," Kyle Meredith said.
He expects that to change next year with the excitement surrounding Fisher.
"As a business owner, I'm extremely excited to see that crowds are going to be stronger, stay longer, spend more money," Meredith said.
Monday wasn't all about the money. During the introduction, Texas A&M gave Fisher a special pair of boots that feature a school logo.
The athletic department said it heard Fisher likes boots and wanted to buy him a unique pair.
We found out they are Lucchese Boots, from Aggieland Outfitters in College Station. The store said it sells the boots for $459.
